Cartizze

Cartizze is a limited area of the North East of Valdobbiadene in which the roots of the vine benefit from the specific character of the soil: moraines, sandstone and clay allow the rapid drainage of rain and constant supply of water and as a consequence the soil is dry, rich in micronutrients, minerals and metals which provide the correct nourishment for the plant. It is a valley where, thanks to the particular morphology of the soil, the vines are exposed to the sun throughout the day, thus the grapes acquire unique characteristic flavours, light bunches and small grapes which are aromatic and have a high sugar content. Our vineyard is located in the very heart of this area, along the Cartizze Way, which is the special area which originated to distinguish between Cartizze and Prosecco.
